This all-inclusive 4d/3n birding package option includes a
variety of birding spots in the eastern region in search of
our endemic bird species and some Caribbean / Antillean
specialties with special attention to the birds of El
Yunque National Forest.

DAY 1

  • 11:30 AM Pick-up starts in Condado and Isla Verde
  • Drive to Luquillo with a stop for lunch at a local bakery.
  • Birding at the edge of Forest in the town of Luquillo while
    looking for the Lizard Cuckoo, Woodpecker, Tody,
    Adelaide´s Warbler, Emerald, and Flycatcher.
  • Check-in and dinner.

DAY 2

  • 8:00 AM Pick-up for a full-day bird outing at El Yunque National
    Forest looking for more endemics:  Elfin-woods Warbler,
    Amazon, Tanager, Spindalis, Bullfinch, Mango, Green
    Mango, picnic style lunch.
  • Return to the hotel with a 6:00 PM pick-up to go back to El
    Yunque looking for our little Owl.
  • Dinner.

DAY 3

  • 8:00 AM Pick-up for a full-day bird outing in the mountains of
    Naguabo and the coastal plains of Fajardo and Ceiba. Target
    endemics of the day: Euphonia, Yellow-shouldered
    Blackbird, plus Caribbean specialties, such as Green-
    throated Carib, Antillean Crested Hummingbird, and
    Caribbean Elaenia.  Depending the time of the year, there is
    a possibility to see the Antillean Nighthawk.
  • Break for lunch on our drive to Fajardo.
  • Dinner in Fajardo or Luquillo.

DAY 4

  • 8:30 AM This morning we will look again for our Amazon and
    the Elfin-woods Warbler, plus any other missing species..
  • Check-out and lunch at a local bakery.
  • Drive back to San Juan with a stop for our Vireo.
  • Drop-off in San Juan after 1:00 PM depending of missing birds.
  • If you are going to depart from Isla Verde Airport, please make
    sure that your flight departs after 4:00 PM.
