GIFT CARDS

  • Gift Cards (Certificates) are sold in our website as cash
    gift cards with preselected amounts to be applied
    towards any of our half or full days trips.

  • Terms and Conditions on this page, plus special terms
    and conditions per activity applies.

  • Gift Cards are valid for one year from purchase date.


SMOKING POLICY  

  • Due to the nature of our tours and our company
    policy, smoking is not permitted under any
    circumstances during our meals, meetings or
    tours.  

  • Regulations for smokers have been established by the
    Government on public spaces and buildings, hotels,
    rooms, restaurants, offices, etc., plus the entrance of
    these places.

  • It is understood that all participants are non-smokers.
    Smoking is not allowed at any time (tours, meals,
    meetings, etc.); this could be a reason for stop the
    activity without refund for unused portions.

  • If transportation is provided, the person who books
    the activity is responsible to inform the rest of the
    group about this policy. A cleaning fee will apply.

  • All selected hotels and restaurants are for non-
    smokers.

  • Drivers and tour guides are not allowed to smoke at
    any moment; if they do, please email us at your
    convenience, preguntame@adventourspr.com

  • For donations for the advancement of a cure for
    respiratory diseases, please contact the Puerto Rican
    Lung Association at http://www.pulmonpr.org.
We reserve the right to decline or retain any person(s) as member of the tour at any time.

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • BIRD OUTING VS BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY: regular birding
    trips are not bird photography trips. Birders use their
    binocular to find birds, not a camera. Sorry, but many
    birders don´t like to be mixed with bird photographers.

  • It is understood that when the main purpose of your
    trip is to take pictures of the birds, the trip is
    considered a private bird photography trip.  Bird
    photography trips are birding trips that are offered as
    a customized alternative and on a private basis.  If you
    book a regular trip instead of a bird photography trip,
    we will make the necessary changes in your reservation
    and charge your credit card for the difference in price
    as for this type of activity we take other routes.  

  • If you are looking for a bird photography trip, please
    use the BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY option.

  • When requesting a quote, please let us know the
    equipment that you will bring: binoculars, camera,
    tripod, etc.

FILMING & RECORDING

  • Some Government (Federal, State, Municipal) sites
    require a special permit that you should show us upon
    booking selected activity if you plan to sell your
    pictures. Please contact us if you need further
    assistance.

  • Some attractions require special permits by the agency
    who manages the facility.  To confirm your booking,
    you need to submit the authorization to take pictures,
    film or record; this includes the use of drones.

  • If you want to film or record our guides or drivers
    while they are doing their job, for profit or non-profit
    purposes, please contact us before booking selected
    activity. This applies to individuals and tour operators
    doing scouting work.

  • Drones are not allowed during our activities.

  • When you book a tour or activity with standards
    fares, you should never expect that the tour will be
    private.  We will fill the capacity of the tour if possible.

  • Prices are revised at the end of each month and are
    valid until December 31.Birding tour package prices are
    valid from October through March 31.

  • If you are planning to book online with several months
    ahead of traveling date, please contact us before
    booking since extra charges could be applied to your
    credit card due to the increase of operative cost.

  • AdvenTours / Birding PUERTO RICO reserves the right
    to increase the price of our activities due to fluctuation
    in the cost of gasoline or any other expense related to
    selected activity.  Gas fee could vary when larger
    vehicles are used and price per liter is above .90 per
    liter.  Please evaluate this fee before booking your trip.  

  • All prices and discounts are subject to change without
    notice.  

  • Written quotations/discounts are valid for 30 calendar
    days from the date of quotation/discount and are
    subject to availability from the quotation/discount date
    to the final booking date. If you want to hold the date
    within the next two weeks, a credit card will be needed
    and a $250 fee will be placed on hold for 7 days.

  • Verbal quotations expire 24 hours after they are made.

  • We reserve the right to revise prices of work in
    process, the production of which is delayed for a period
    in excess of 30 days due to any act of Buyer.
TRAVEL INSURANCE  

  • AdvenTours is not responsible for the loss, damage,
    theft of luggage or personal belongings, or for personal
    injury, accidents or illness.

  • For your protection, we strongly recommended that
    you have or purchase adequate insurance, including
    trip cancellation and interruption of trip through your
    authorized travel agent.
HEALTH CONDITIONS & PROTOCOL

  • UPDATED MARCH 21, 2024 - We will no longer
    require the use of the mask during our on site trips.  

  • To protect our Guides and Drivers, if a client shows any
    symptom related or similar to flu or allergy (coughing,
    sneezing, etc.) the person will be asked to wear the
    mask that the client MUST provide; otherwise it will
    charged to your credit card.

  • If you or anyone in your group show any symptom and
    you are not willing to use the face mask, we will stop
    the activity and no refunds will be given.  It is
    understood that when you have booked with us, you
    have read, understand and agree with this protocol.


ALLERGIES

  • If you need to use any special medication due to
    allergies reactions or any other health condition, please
    let us know in case of an emergency.  

  • Some of your guides or drivers are allergic to strong
    perfumes, including insect repellent, pets or cats. You
    can wear long pants and long sleeves.

  • Please ask before using any sun screen or insect
    repellent lotion, specially when sharing a trip with other
    people.

  • When we provide transportation, a cleaning fee could
    apply if there is any damage to our vehicles (stains,
    marks, etc.).

LOW BLOOD PRESSURE & LOW SUGAR

  • Please let us know if you want us to provide a cooler
    with electrolyte/energy drinks or juice to be paid on site
    or charged to your credit card.

KNEE OR BACK PAIN

  • Although some walks and hikes are offered on easy or
    low-impact trails, you must contact us before booking
    you trip is you suffer from knee or back pain.
TOUR PACKAGES, FAMILY VACATION, STUDENT & GROUP TRAVEL

  • These Terms and Conditions apply to any of our service.  Special terms and conditions will be added to customized itineraries, tour
    packages, family vacations, student and group travel.

  • We reserve the right to substitute hotels, if it should be necessary, from those mentioned in our itineraries.

  • We reserve the right to alter tour activity as required for everyone’s safety.

  • Breakfasts, picnic style lunch, and dinners are included only as specified in the itineraries.

  • If you require a special diet due to health condition, we should know it before submitting itineraries that include any type
    of meal.

  • Non-smokers.  All selected hotels and restaurants are for non-smokers as per local Law.

  • Tips are not included in price (drivers, Guides, restaurant/hotel employees).
When you book online, the software from the company that handles our booking system (Peek.com) will send us a text
message and an email to confirm or deny your reservation within the next 24 hours.  We will proceed to check your answers,
specially the ones related to these terms and conditions, and will contact you on the phone just in case you have
any questions regarding selected service. If needed, we will modify your booking while talking with you on the phone.

  • Payment Methods.  We accept credit cards through our booking online system.  Other payment methods are available.

  • Cancellations. Cancellations, refunds, Weather Policy, and fees are included in this section.

  • Transfers / Tours. General information on transfers/transportation, plus late arrivals, tours, lost items, etc.

  • Disclaimer. When you electronically sign our waivers, you will be receiving a copy via email.
A waiver form will be provided before the trip if you have failed to complete the waivers online.

PEEK PROTECT
What is Peek Protect?

  • Any online reservation you make with us is handled by our reservation
    software vendor, Peek Pro.

  • Peek Pro, now provides the option to protect your purchase directly with
    them through Peek Protect. You can buy this protection at the end of the
    booking process (see link to the right).

  • If you decide not to purchase Peek Protect, our Cancellation Policy
    will apply.  We strongly recommend to buy a travel insurance before
    departing to Puerto Rico that includes cancellation by you or tour operator,
    tour/activity interruption, coverage for hurricanes, natural disasters,
    emergency medical coverage, pre-existing medical conditions, student
    travel . Before buying your travel insurance make sure that it includes the
    outdoor activities you want to book with us, specially outdoor adventures.

Peek Protect is an exclusive product that offers booking
protection for qualified products such as rentals and
activities when you book with a participating partner.

When booking with a partner that offers Peek Protect:

At checkout, you’ll see the option to add Peek Protect for a
small fee on eligible products (like rentals or activities).

If you choose to add it, your booking is covered against
certain disruptions.

If you need to cancel and qualify under the program’s rules,
the protection provider will refund you directly not the
business.
