Due to the number of people visiting El Yunque National Forest during the Holy Week/Weekend (Wednesday through Sunday, including Good Friday and Easter) and the month of July, we DO NOT OFFER
tours to El Yunque other than the Night Hike and/or Ancestral Areyto.  Access to the Forest is limited and we cannot guarantee the quality during those days.
.
We have adapted our bird watching tours at the Rainforest as there is limited access after hurricanes Irma and María.  These changes will take place from one year
starting February, 2018 until February, 2019.  The good news are that we can still offer both half and full days, plus night owling.  These birding trips are guarantee with
a minimum of one participant and is available
only on appointments, but with the new regulations, we can only book three trips per week, any time of the week:  first
come, first served.  For other trips in the eastern region, please visit this

"Hilda is great. She knows her birds and her calls. She moves at a
different pace than the typical guide, working deliberate and meticulous
to get your target birds. During our outing I was able to pick up a dozen
lifers including the PR Lizard Cuckoo, Oriole, and Tanager. In addition,
Hilda put me on a spot to get the PR Screech Owl the following day."

EDUCATIONAL
OUTREACH PROGRAM
As part of AdvenTours PUERTO RICO
corporate social responsibility in 2002
we founded
APIE, the Puerto Rican
Association of Interpretation and
Education, Inc
.

APIE is a non-profit organization that
offers training and continuing education
for tour guides, plus a series of activities
for the general public, focusing on
children, students, and educators
(
Proyecto Mucarito).

In 2014 we created an
Annual Fund to
promote scientific research on birds, $1
of every tour we offer is added to this
fund.
Updated March 13, 2019.
Of the 19 Sharp-shinned Hawks left in Puerto Rico
after hurricane María, one has been seen at the Forest
on November 16, 2018.

Rose-breasted Grosbeak spotted in January 15, 2019.
These birding trips are an
excellent alternative for
slow mobility birders

.
Due to the limit access to El Yunque
National Forest, our tours to the Forest
are
booked on-demand. You choose
your departure time at booking. If you
are joining a pre-existing tour, the
departure time has been chosen by the
original booking party.  Remember, at
this moment we can only offer three trips
per week, four people per trip.  That
means that only 12 people can visit the
Forest weekly with us.

We also have the
Luquillo Limited
Edition as an excellent half-day birding
alternative when you want to see as
many endemics as possible.
