Magical Nights in El Yunque is a concept that was born in
2001. We start with a short talk about El Yunque National
Forest. While going to the entrance of the trail, the action begins
when we explain safety measures. Your guide will identify fauna
and flora as the orchestral sounds of the Forest guide us on our
journey. We supply small flashlights and use minimum light
during the hikes. You should wear long pants/sleeves and
comfortable closed shoes, DO NOT USE insect repellent, we
will provide it if needed.

Dear Hilda, -- We just wanted you to tell you again how much we enjoyed
touring El Yunque with you on Wednesday. Attached are a few of the many
pictures we took that day. Hope all is well with you and your mother.

Hilda, -- We have all agreed that the day we spent with you was the most
spectacular thing we did on our trip and are very happy we went. We hope
you had a nice time with us as well. I'll send you electronic copies of the
photos we took that came out well. I'm having hip replacement surgery in a
few weeks and look forward to doing more strenuous activities within the
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and love of the forest with us.

There are four confirmed bioluminescent species of
macro-fungi in El Yunque National Forest. These fungi are
capable of glowing in the dark. Join us in the search of these
unique mushrooms. We will also see other forms of
bioluminescense, plus the non-bioluminescent coquí.
Special weather conditions should take place to see the
glow-in-the-dark mushrooms. Due to the nature of this private
1 hour nature walk on a fragile environment, private groups are
limited to a maximum 10 participants per guide.
Available only on moonless nights, three nights per month.
Please check calendar on our Facebook site.

This option is for the explorer at heart!!! Do you want to find a coquí in daylight? Can you imagine how small orchids can be at El Yunque? Have you ever seen a gecko? This tour is probably what you were looking for!
El Yunque National Forest is home of over 240 species of native trees, 50 species of orchids, and 150 species of ferns. Wildlife at the Forest is dominated by birds, amphibians, and reptiles. How these species survive at the Forest? During our nature walk we will explain how they have adapted to the Forest.
Due to the nature of the tour, it is longer than other companies individuals, this program could be offered by the owner of the company, who is a Naturalist and Certified Guide and Tour Guide Trainer.

day, you will have a panoramic view of our beloved Forest from
approximately 3,087 ft (941 mts). Mt. Britton Tower was built by
the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. Both the
mountain and the tower are named for botanist Nathaniel Britton
and Elizabeth Knight Britton, who in the 1920s identified many
endemic trees and native plants of the Luquillo mountains.
This is considered a moderate to challenging effort through a
steep, slippery, paved trail that starts 7:45 AM. You can combine
this hike with La Mina Falls and Los Picachos and save on
transportation!
Larger groups are welcome! For larger groups, one guide will

where you can change clothes and enjoy a healthy snack. As
a private activity, you can combine this tour with a hike to

Hilda took my husband and I on the night hike in El Yunque. I would recommend this to EVERYONE lucky enough to go to Puerto Rico. It is an amazing experience- the rain forest at night......bioluminescent organisms......coquis serenading you....do I really need to say any more? The next time we go we are definitely going back!!!!
