We started business in 1992 under the name of Excursiones Guariquén as we were
offering tours only for locals. La ruta del café was offered on a monthly basis as part of our
Monte Adentro Series. It was during that period of time that we met Pello who shared his
dream to establish a coffee museum for Puerto Rico. Here we are, honoring his friendship
and dream.

| This tour departs from San Juan where we drive to the mountainous town of Ciales and visit the Coffee Museum of Puerto Rico where you will learn about the different varieties of coffee, taste a cup of Café Don Pello, and enjoy a short historical walking tour. This museum is Pello´s dream come true. If you like a longer version in a real coffee plantation, the long version takes you to Hacienda Palma Escrita in Las Marías, a real and still operational coffee plantation. Pick-up and drop-off is available from/to San Juan and Dorado. Please visit this link for information. |
