We have also improved the Lajas and Cabo Rojo birding trip adding extra time, plus a night outing looking for
the Puerto Rican Nightjar. We will be driving through the low hills and coastal plains of the southwestern
region. The final route is establish once we know your target birds. These are two of my favorites birding spots.

Another birding road trip that will take you
through the southwest coast of Puerto Rico
with a variety of scenarios (dry forests,
marshes, rice fields, mangrove, urban areas).
What to expect? Possible endemic species
will be Yellow-shouldered Blackbird,
Adelaide´s Warbler, Tody, Emerald,
Woodpecker, Flycatcher, Bullfinch, Spindalis,
Oriole, Vireo, Lizard Cuckoo; plus near
endemic species, such as: Lesser Antillean
Pewee, Loggerhead Kingbird, and Antillean
Euphonia. Caribbean specialties: Antillean
Mango, Caribbean Elaenia, West Indian
Whistling Duck. Also, Venezuelan Troupial,
Grasshopper Sparrow, Indian Silverbill, and
many others species.
Depending on the time of the year, we will
also see shorebirds, Antillean Nighthawk,
and migratory species. We have improved
this trip adding extra time for the Puerto Rican
