EASTERN BIRDING LOOP
8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
The Eastern Birding Loop is a long full-day trip that goes from the mountains to the coast.  Due to new
regulations at El Yunque, we can only visit the Forest three times a week.  If we are already booked for those
three days, we will visit the edge of the Forest and CBC routes.  The good news are that during the morning
we can go to the Forest or to areas close to it that have similar species.  In the afternoon, we look for more
birds in Fajardo and Ceiba.  For other birding trips in the eastern region, please visit this
link for info.
Good news!   We found two juveniles of the Yellow-shouldered Blackbird on June 12,
2018. Many people thought that hurricanes Irma and María killed the whole population,
but they are coming back!  We got four more birds in July, 2019  in another location.
Due to the number of people visiting El Yunque National Forest during the Holy Week/Weekend (Wednesday through Sunday,
including Good Friday and Easter) and the
month of July, we DO NOT OFFER tours to El Yunque other than the Night Hike
and/or Ancestral Areyto.  Access to the Forest is limited and we cannot guarantee the quality during those days.
.
A lifetime opportunity
to see this very rare
endemic species in
the eastern region.

Hilda, thank you for 3 wonderful outings in Puerto Rico.  We really appreciated your knowledge and helpfulness.
We would never have found many of those birds on our own.
