Booking Conditions
* Booking Conditions only applies to private
and custom travel packages.
Land Payments: For all bookings, a
non-refundable deposit of $300.00 per
person is required to confirm land services.
In special cases a larger deposit may be
required. Confirmation of hotel space and
ground services will not be requested until
the deposit has been received. Deposit
amount will be applied towards the final
invoice. Alternate properties will be offered in
the event the quoted hotel is not available.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to
departure. Late payments may result in
cancellation or a late payment fee of $50.00
per traveler. Bookings require a minimum of
services, including hotels and ground
services. Programs are sold as a package
only and no price breakdown will be
provided. One re-quote or estimate will be
provided free of charge.
Air Payments: Air pricing is subject to change
until paid in full. Carrier terms and conditions
apply. Once your air schedule is confirmed,
any alterations risk the loss of air space
and/or increased airfares. Tours4Fun does
not hold block space on any airline and does
not guarantee air availability.
Cancellations and Penalties: Cancellations
must be made by completing and signing the
Tours4Fun Cancellation Request Form.

here. Should a traveler sharing a room
cancel, the remaining traveler(s) will be
charged for a single room. In addition to the
cancellation schedule below, any
non-refundable deposits paid on behalf of
travelers will not be returned.

Internal air and some elements in custom
built tours (event tickets etc.) are
non-refundable and will be charged in
addition to the above cancellation fees.
Change fees: Changes made after deposit
has been received are subject to a $50.00
fee by Tours4Fun for all permitted changes
made prior to receipt of final payment and
issuance of documents. Changes made after
documents have been issued are subject to
a $50.00 per person fee. It is the traveler's
responsibility to make sure that the confirmed
itinerary is correct. Within 30 days of
departure all itineraries are considered
finalized, and no changes will be made. Once
travel has commenced, any changes or
cancellations will be at the expense of the
traveler.
Tour Inclusions and Exclusions: All
accommodations, hotel taxes, arrival and
departure transfers, transport with bottled
water, English speaking guides, sightseeing,
excursions and meals with water/soft drinks
as stated in your tour itinerary are all
included in the cost of your tour.
The following items are not included in your
tour cost: Travel insurance, tips, alcohol,
excess baggage charges, personal
expenses, visa and border charges.
Travel Insurance: We highly recommend you
purchase a travel insurance plan. Please
click this link for Travel Insurance Information.
Claims and Refunds: Anything not specifically
mentioned as included is at traveler's own
expense. In the unlikely event of problems
with a hotel, transfer, tour or other services,
immediately contact the manager of the hotel
or the supplier to resolve the matter on the
spot. If further assistance is needed, contact
your Tours4fun specialist. Little can be
rectified after the fact, so it is very important
to address all problems at the time of
occurrence. No refunds will be made in the
event of "no show" or trip interruption. Claims
must be made in writing and within 30 days of
tour completion.
Forms of Payment: Payments can be made
by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American
Express, Discover), PayPal, Wire Transfer,
and Cash Deposit.
Passports and Visas: All travelers must be in
possession of a valid passport and are
responsible for any required visas.

prepared to, and by signing below agree to, assume the risks
associated with this tour including (but not limited to): forces of nature,
wildlife, terrorism, civil unrest, war, accidents, and local transportation
including land vehicles, boats, and aircraft. I assume the risks
associated with altitude, illness, disease, physical exertion, and alcohol
consumption, knowing that access to evacuation and/or suitable
medical care may not be available. By signing this Agreement, I agree
to take full responsibility, at all times, for my own actions, safety and
welfare. I understand I may be a member of a group and will conduct
myself in a way that will not endanger the guide, the group, or myself. I
understand that if I falsely represent myself as fit for this trip, I may be
removed prior to or during the trip at my own expense.

whether founded, in whole or in part, on any negligent act or omission
of any of the released parties.

will select a person skilled in mediation, at each party’s own expense,
and those two individuals will select a neutral third party, who will act

litigation arising out of or relating to this Agreement or my performance
thereunder, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its
reasonably expended attorney’s fees and all other related expenses. I

  • When booking a tour you acknowledge that our
    participation in our outdoor activities entails known and
    unanticipated risks that could result in physical or
    emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to yourself,
    property or third parties. You also understand that such
    risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the
    essential qualities of the activity you voluntarily enrolled.

  • AdvenTours / Birding PUERTO RICO acts only as agent
    of the hotels, shuttle, tour companies (kayaks, boats,
    bicycles, diving, snorkeling, white river rafting, body
    rafting, caving, spelunking, and any other related activity),
    restaurants or owner or contractors, or by persons in their
    employ, providing accommodations, transportation, tours,
    outdoor activities or other services.

  • AdvenTours / Birding PUERTO RICO, our guides and/or
    drivers  are not responsible or liable for any act, injury,
    loss, death, accident, damage, delay, omission,
    irregularity or non-performance occurring in connection
    with these arrangements.

  • AdvenTours / Birding PUERTO RICO reserves the right to
    decline or retain any person(s) as member of the tour at
    any time.

  • In case of any claim, only local Laws will apply on any
    legal issue and should be resolve only in local court in
    Puerto Rico).  All expenses, including ours and our
    guides and/or drivers, should and will be paid by the
    person, agency, company or legal firm who starts the
    complaint no matter Judge´s decision on the case.

  • By signing provided waivers, you acknowledge that you or
    any anyone from your group is hurt or property is
    damaged during your participation in any of our activities,
    you will be found by a court of Law to have waived your
    right to maintain a lawsuit against AdvenTours / Birding
    PUERTO RICO, our guides and/or drivers or any of the
    companies that we act as agents, on the basis of any
    claim from which you have released us.  Henceforth, when
    you pay for our services you agree to participate in our
    activities and use, if applicable, our equipment and
    facilities, and you further agree to indemnify and hold
    harmless AdvenTours / Birding PUERTO RICO from any
    and all claims which are brought by and which are in any
    way connected with such use or participation in any of our
    activities.

Participant Acknowledgement of Risks
In consideration of the services of Western River Expeditions, its agents,
owners, officers, volunteers, participants, parent, sister or subsidiary
corporations including specifically but not limited to Canyon Country River
Adventures Inc. DBA "Moab Adventure Center," employees, sales agents,
subcontractors and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on
their behalf (hereinafter collectively "W.R.E."), I hereby agree to release
and discharge W.R.E. on behalf of myself, my parents, my heirs, assigns,
personal representative and estate as follows:

Inherent Risks:  I acknowledge that any water related activity such as
rafting entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical
or emotional injury, death, or damage to myself, to property, or to third
parties. I understand and acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement
of adventure activities is derived in part from inherent risks incurred by
activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or in my normal day to
day activities and that these inherent risks contribute to my enjoyment and
excitement and are an integral reason for my participation in this activity. I
understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without
jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. I also understand and
acknowledge that failing to use or properly use safety equipment
increases my risk of injury or of not surviving an accident or incident while
rafting.

The inherent risks associated with the rafting trip in which I am about to
participate include, but are not limited to: encountering whitewater rapids
and changing water flows and the possibility that I will be jolted, jarred,
bounced, thrown to and fro and shaken about during rides through some
of these rapids or changing water flows; it is possible that I could be
injured if I come in contact with food boxes, oars/paddles, other storage
containers, or other fixed equipment necessary to the operation or
outfitting of the raft; I recognize there may be foot cups or foot holds in
watercraft which may assist in stabilizing or holding myself or others in the
watercraft but which may present an increased risk of knee, ankle or other
injury as a result of restricted movement; the raft may break down or be
faulty; it is possible that loss of control of the raft could occur resulting in
collision or capsizing or sinking and that if a raft turns over or flips I could
be "washed" overboard; rafts are slippery when wet and are naturally
unstable so that I could slip and fall or be knocked out of the raft even in
flat or non-moving water; while in the water I may become disoriented,
panicked and/or experience trauma from rocks, boulders, etc; I can slip or
fall during hiking or portaging or getting to and from the raft and I
understand that the areas in which I might hike sometimes hide dangerous
obstacles such as tree wells, tree stumps, creeks, rocks and boulders,
forest dead fall, etc.; the raft or any portion of it may collide with or
encounter other rafts, man-made or natural objects including submerged
or semi-submerged trees, rocks, branches, boulders, bridges, etc.;
accidents can occur getting on and off the raft; changing weather
conditions, storms or even lightning are possible; exposure to the natural
elements can be uncomfortable and/or harmful and I am aware that this
exposure could cause sunburn, dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke,
heat cramps or fatigue, some or all of which may diminish my or the other
participants' ability to react or respond; I understand that exposure to cold
water can result in "cold water immersion" syndrome or "cold shock,"
hypothermia and in extreme cases death; I may encounter dangerous
wildlife, insects, etc.; communication in the river terrain in which this activity
occurs is always difficult and in the event of an accident, rescue and
medical treatment may not be immediately available. I acknowledge that I
AM ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE for my own safety during my participation
in W.R.E. events/activities.

I specifically acknowledge also that W.R.E. activities may involve camping
in rustic and rugged situations which may present  "comfort style" issues
for which I accept responsibility. I acknowledge that food preparation is an
integral part of these activities and that I and other participants may be
eating in the outdoors or community style environments and that some of
the food may not be to my liking; there may be errors in food storage or
preparation that could cause my dissatisfaction and/or illness; I
acknowledge my responsibility to inform W.R.E. of any specific food
related allergies. Water purification systems may or may not be used
and/or may or may not function correctly; I specifically acknowledge that,
in the event I choose to consume alcohol during my trip, I will bear
complete responsibility for myself and for any damages I may cause to
W.R.E., its property or to other guests. I acknowledge that my time at
W.R.E. events/activities may require me to use equipment (IE - tents,
stoves, water filtration, etc.) that I might not be familiar with and will require
me to interact with other guests and participants with whom I am also
unfamiliar; any of these things can cause my discomfort and stress and
have inherent risks. I acknowledge that I could be left alone, unsupervised
and/or out of contact with a guide/staff person for extended periods of
time. I acknowledge that there are numerous other issues I may
encounter, such as campfires and latrine issues which, while they seem
open and obvious, also have inherent risks associated with them.

I acknowledge that I may choose to participate in activities that are
provided by other vendors or operators (i.e. buses, flights, helicopters)
over which W.R.E. has no control. Those activities are incidental to the
activities provided by W.R.E. and may involve errors in judgment by the
other vendors or operators for which W.R.E. can bear no liability. W.R.E.
is not a "Common Carrier" but rather is in the business of providing rafting
or adventure type trips. Transportation to and from the activity is incidental
to the activity. Transport by car, bus or van, in some instances, may be
provided by W.R.E. and may involve errors in judgment by W.R.E. staff
operating the vans, buses, cars or other transport vehicles. The vehicles
and transport trailers may malfunction, break down or be poorly
maintained, causing injury, accidents, delays or in the extreme case,
death. Furthermore, W.R.E. Guides have difficult jobs to perform. They
seek safety, but they are not infallible. They might be ignorant of a
participant's fitness or abilities. They might misjudge the weather, the
elements, or the terrain. They may give inadequate warnings or
instructions and/or I as the participant may fail to understand the safety
directions due to language issues. I specifically acknowledge that
decisions made by guides/staff and participants are often made in
wilderness/remote/dangerous settings and are made based on often
imprecise, momentary and subjective perceptions so that decisions are
subject to errors in judgment that cannot and should not be associated
with fault at a later point in time.

Express Assumption of Risk:  As lawful consideration for being allowed to
participate in activities offered by W.R.E., I expressly agree and promise
on behalf of myself and any of the children for which I am responsible, to
accept and assume all the risks existing in this activity. My/our participation
in this activity is purely voluntary, and I/we elect to participate in spite of
the risks. I/we expressly agree and acknowledge that the terms and
conditions of this Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of
Risks and Indemnity Agreement are contractual in nature and that I/we are
signing it of our own free will.

Personal Skill & Insurance:  I certify on behalf of myself and any of the
children for which I am responsible that I/we have sufficient skill and fitness
to participate in the activities offered by W.R.E. I further certify that I/we
have no medical, mental or physical conditions which could interfere with
my/our safety or ability to participate in these activities, or else I/we are
willing to assume and bear the cost of all risks that may be created,
directly or indirectly, by any such condition. I/we further certify that I/we
have adequate insurance to cover any injury, damage or emergency
transportation or search and rescue costs I/we may cause or suffer while
participating, or else agree to bear the costs of such injury, damage or
emergency transportation costs ourselves.

Medical Issues: I agree on behalf of myself and any of the children for
which I am responsible that, in the event that W.R.E. deems it necessary
to administer emergency first aid or CPR or to remove me/us from its
activities or premises or from the field or to seek emergency medical care
for me/us that, by signing this document, I/we are giving W.R.E. permission
to: administer emergency first aid or CPR, secure emergency transport or
medical care and/or disclose any medical information it may have about
me/us to any health care provider which may become involved in my/our
care, treatment or removal from the field. By signing this document I/we
are waiving any right to object to or bring any type of action or claim
against W.R.E. for its administration of emergency first aid or CPR or for
securing emergency transport or medical care and/or for the disclosure of
personal medical information it may have about me/us to any health
related person who becomes involved in my/our care or removal from
W.R.E. activities or the field.

Photographic Assignment:  I understand that the W.R.E. reserves the right
to take photographic or film (of whatsoever nature) records of any or all of
its activities or trips and on behalf of myself and any of the children for
which I am responsible I/we hereby agree that W.R.E. may use such
records for promotional and/or commercial purposes without any
remuneration to me. I/we hereby assign all right, title and interest I/we may
have in or to any and all media in which my name or likeness might be
used by W.R.E.

Release as Contract and Personal Capacity:  On behalf of myself and any
of the children for which I am responsible I expressly agree and
acknowledge that the terms and conditions of this Assumption of Risks
Agreement are contractual in nature and that I/we are signing it of my/our
own free will. I/we expressly acknowledge that I/we are not under the
influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of my/our signing of this document
and that there are no other impediments or reasons why I/we would lack
the capacity to enter into this contract with W.R.E.

By signing this document, I acknowledge for myself and any of the children
for which I am responsible that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged
during my participation in this activity, I/we may be found by a court of law
to have waived my/our right to maintain a lawsuit against W.R.E. on the
basis of any claim from which I/we have released them herein.

What CAN be Refunded:
• Some tours may require a minimum number of
travelers to operate. The affected traveler will be
fully refunded or may choose a similar tour
product as a substitute. Should this occur, it
would be under very rare circumstances.
• Please note that the product substitute chosen
by the traveler may be more expensive than the
original product and therefore may be subject to
an additional cost.
• Any additional refunds based on extenuating
circumstances will depend on the individual tour
operator.
What CANNOT be Refunded:
• All hotel and tour schedules are arranged
ahead of time. Any person failing to appear on
the day of departure will not be refunded.
• No refund will be given for any portions of the
tour unused by the traveler after tour departure
regardless of circumstances.
• Airfare is completely non-refundable and non-
changeable for tours when airfare is included in
the final price.
• Hotel extensions and Instant Confirmation
products (admission tickets, city passes, etc.)
cannot be exchanged or refunded once
confirmed.
Our Cancellation Policy
The Cancellation Policies listed below apply to
all reservations unless the tour booked has
specific rates or fees listed under "Special
Notes." Please carefully review the "Special
Notes" of your tour prior to booking. Please
know that Tours4Fun will always adhere to
individual tour policies when applicable.

• Please note that cancellation fees are
calculated based on the date we receive your
signed Cancellation Request Form and travel
service start date.
• If a tour is scheduled to depart within the next 6
days, we will not change a traveler's departure
date and will not offer a refund.
• All cancellations must be made directly with
Tours4Fun, not with tour providers.
• In most cases, reservations paid by wire
transfer, cash deposit, or money order/traveler's
check/cashier's check will be refunded via
PayPal or check. For refunds processed by wire
transfer, any associated wire transfer fee will be
deducted from the overall refund amount.
Free Cancellation
Single Day Tours/Activities*: Cancel at least 7
Days in advance of the start date of the
experience for a full refund.
• Admission tickets/passes or skip-the-line
tickets excluded. Please check special notes as
some tours are non-refundable.
How to Cancel a Reservation
We will process your cancellation/refund request
within one to seven business days. We will NOT
acknowledge any verbal / over-the-phone
request or voice mail. Verbally speaking with our
customer service representatives without filling
out a request form will not guarantee that your
cancellation has been processed or
acknowledged. We will NOT accept email
cancellations unless they have a complete,
signed, and attached Cancellation Form.
• Cancellation must be made by filling out and
signing the Tours4Fun Cancellation Request

Amendment Fees:
Any changes made to a reservation after
successfully submitting the order online and 7
days before the tour departs for single day and
24 days before the tour departs for multi day
tours will be subject to a minimum $30.00
Amendment Fee (per change). Reservations will
be confirmed within one to two business days.
The following constitute as an amendment to a
tour:
• Changing departure date
• Changing pick up time or location
• Changing tour
• Changing guest name
• Changing itinerary
• Removing / Replacing a guest
• Adding / Replacing a guest
• The $30.00 amendment fee is a minimum tour
change fee. If you request multiple changes
and/or request the adjustments at the last
minute, additional fees may apply (in addition to
the $30.00 amendment fee). Paying the $30.00
amendment fee does not guarantee a change
can or will be made.
• To cancel a passenger from a reservation with
promotions such as "Buy 2, Get 1 Discounted"
or "Buy 2, Get 2 Discounted" within seven days
of the departure date, please refer to the
"Pricing" tab of the product page for penalty
fees. If the cancellation is beyond seven days of
departure date, the $30.00 fee will be applied
per person.

Policy
Because of the extensive planning
and preparation that goes into our
multi-day tours and the high
demand for daytours there are
significant but reasonable fees
associated with cancellation and
rescheduling, especially the closer
to the tour date that it occurs.

By purchasing a tour with DST,
checking the relevant mandatory
box online during online booking,
and/or returning the signed edoc
after a phone booking, I
acknowledge that I have read and
fully accept the
cancellation/rescheduling schedule
below and agree to pay accordingly
in such an event. Failure to return
the mandatory
Cancellation/Weather Policy edoc in
the case of a phone booking does
not absolve me of the policies
herein. Simply purchasing the tour
makes these policies applicable to
me. I also forfeit any chargeback
rights through my credit card
company with regard to these

forego any negative reviews or any
other public reputation degradation

A Word on Weather
Although it very rarely happens, we
reserve the right to cancel or
reroute tours up until the last minute
due to weather, safety, or other
uncontrollable circumstances. In this
case we will try to reschedule, give
rainchecks, agree on another more
accessible destination, or if
necessary give a full refund.
Cancellations are slightly more likely
in Winter. PLEASE NOTE:
Dreamland Safari Tours makes all
calls about weather. Unless it is
unsafe, we lean towards completing
the tour as is for a variety of
reasons. We also wait until the last
minute to make these calls. We do
not speculate on forecasts. If a
party should decide to cancel
outside of or in advance of our
decision making, the standard
cancellation policy will apply.
STEP 5 – LIABILITY WAIVER
8. We are travelling as a family. What tours do you suggest?
There are a number of tours we could suggest, but it all depends
on what exactly interests you, ages/attention span, and the
abilities of your family. Two of our most popular tours with families
with younger children are the Mystical Slot Canyon and Slot
Canyon/Dinosaur Track Combo. We suggest taking a look at our
TOUR INFORMATION GRID. This has everything broken down at
a quick glance with links to the individual pages. All our daytours
are 50% off for kids 15 and under in the interest of family outdoor
experience.

9. How physically challenging are your tours? How should I choose
which is right for my abilities?
Overall our tours are nothing extreme, but far more active than a
bus tour, for example. They are designed for the average person
and only a few of them hike more than 5 miles. Some do include
minor scrambling. Keep in mind that our hikes take place in the
4000-8000 ft elevation range which can take adjustment for those
from sea level or close to it. The hiking/physical difficulties are
listed on each individual tour page and in the TOUR
INFORMATION GRID. We realize this scale is relative, but have
tried to calibrate our estimates to an average person. For the
sake of maximizing enjoyment for yourself and the others who
subsequently join the trip, if you have known physical difficulties or
are between the ages of 60-90, please be a little more
conservative and carefully consider joining tours with the
appropriate activity level. A guided tour will not fix your bad knees
or make you young again. Physical inability can become a serious
problem in the wilderness. Also while we do everything we can to
moderate hiking routes to fit our groups’ abilities, sometimes
groups with mixed abilities require patience and understanding on
both sides and with our guides. Please be as honest as possible
with Dreamland about any conditions or limitations both before
and during your tour. Help us help you.

10. We are a group with varying abilities. What tour would you
suggest?
Our Mystical Slot Canyon Tour is great for all ages and abilities. It’
s a three hour tour with minimal hiking. We have had everyone
from infants to elderly in this canyon.  Hiking difficulties are listed
on the individual tour pages and can be seen at a glance on the
TOUR INFORMATION GRID.

13. Do you offer pet-friendly tours? Can we bring our dog?
We do allow 1 dog on any given tour or two if they know each
other and get along. The only place we tour that does not allow
dogs is Toroweap. If the original booking party books in a dog
then anyone who subsequently joins the tour must accept it. If
anyone that subsequently joins wishes to bring a dog then the
original booking party must agree. We welcome Best Friends
volunteers and their furry pals. Ask for a sleepover dog! Please
be prepared with leash and poop bags. Click Ahead for more info

15. Is tipping the guide customary?
In the United States tipping is not required, but it is the socially
accepted norm. When a service has been provided to you, tipping
of the immediate providing individual is customary. Tipping of tour
guides is typically around 10% of the tour cost. Tips are never
expected, but always greatly appreciated by our guides.

Our tours are booked on-demand. You choose your departure
time at booking. If you are joining a pre-existing tour, the
departure time has been chosen by the original booking party.

17. What is included on your tours?
Daytours include pickup and dropoff from local hotels, off-road
transportation, natural history narration, guided hiking, photo
advice, snacks, water, and lunch on tours of 6 hours or more.  
Our multi-day tours include all of this plus camping equipment,
camp management, three excellent meals, stargazing, sunsets
and sunrises for the photographer, and lots more time outside.

19. What is your weather policy? What is your
cancellation/reschedule policy?
These policies are all found on our Resources Page. PLEASE
NOTE: Because of the constantly changing weather, targets
moving over the whole region (our trucks), unpredictability of
weather forecasts, the complexities of different road surfaces in
different areas, the variable nature of storms as far as coverage
and volume in this area, and the fact that some of the best
photography weather is often on days with a chance of rain, we do
not reflexively cancel tours without solid information. However, as
your safety is always paramount in situations where
incontrovertible evidence leads us to believe that potentially
dangerous situations are probable, we will cancel tours if
necessary. We will assume tours will run until departure time. We
do not cancel tours until departure time as the most relevant
information is at hand. Also if we know of a particular area or time
that will be a problem we will often consult with all parties on the
tour as to how best to go about re-routing, postponement, or
cancellation. Trying to manage this on the phone hours before the
tour is nearly impossible. If a party decides to cancel prior to
departure time for reasons of weather forecasts, the cancellation
will be subject to the standard policy. Cancellations made by us at
departure will be accompanied by a full refund if no other solution
can be reached. Also the information we have at any given time is
often incomplete. For example, we do not know if the Wave is
covered in snow or if the route is hikeable, whether roads are
impassable in a given location etc….as we do not have a webcam
at these remote locations. We do try to network to get better
information if we can. Sometimes incontrovertible evidence is only
found once the tour has begun. Guessing, followed by reflexive
cancellations, we have learned, produces more poor results for
everyone involved, than the strategy we take. It is very, very
complex making these decisions. We are always monitoring the
weather and have many years of experience managing the
logistics that are affected by weather in this area. Please trust us
to act in both our best interests.

20. How soon should we book?
This depends on several factors, but our best advice is to book as
soon as you finalize your plans. We do fill up, and if you have a
limited window of opportunity, you may miss out. The smaller your
availability window and the tighter your schedule, the earlier you
need to book in order to ensure availability. The larger your
group, especially if it involves more than one of our trucks (>7
passengers), the earlier you need to book.

21. Am I able to book last minute?
Yes, you are able to book by phone at the last minute depending
upon availability, but please don’t wait longer than necessary. Any
advance notice greatly assists us in arranging employee and
equipment logistics. Please be prepared to join an existing tour
that may not have been your first choice. We prefer that you call
rather than use the online system. We try our best to keep the
reservation system as real-time as possible but it is very difficult to
be 100% accurate with logistics and resources that are constantly
varying. For this reason,
online booking is cutoff
48 hours before departure.
We may still need to
adjust your choices to match availability. Options are not infinite at
the last minute. We appreciate your understanding.

22. How do I reserve my date(s)?
You are able to book online or by contacting us. We do require a
50% deposit to reserve your daytour date(s) and a
1/3
deposit to reserve a multi-day tour
. The
remaining balance is due the day of your tour at departure. Your
guide can take any method of payment.

23. How do I book multiple tours online?
Set up the first tour by using the “Book Now” links on the individual
tour pages. Follow all the prompts until you get to the “Your
Details” page. Then click ” Make Another Booking”, an orange bar
at the very top of the page. You will return to the tour listings page
of our reservation system and begin anew. You can select the
areas/categories of the various tour in the links at the top (Kanab
Tours, GSENM Tours etc) and then select the individual tour.
There are also a couple more categories under “More”. Repeat
the process and continue adding tours in this manner until you
are done and then review all the tours in your shopping cart and
add all the pertinent details. Then submit payment for all tours at
once and you are done.

24. Can I pay via cash, Paypal, credit card,
check?
If you are interested in paying by cash or
check please contact us directly. You are
able to book online with your credit card or
you may contact us by phone to place an
order. Because people have abused our
policies and we have no recourse, we no
longer accept PayPal.

25. Where do you pick up/meet? Do you pickup in Page, AZ?
We pick up anywhere in Kanab for all tours. WE DO NOT PICK UP
IN PAGE. Other meetups or pickup locations are possible
depending on tour logistics and are determined on a case by case
basis. Pickups, meetup locations, and exceptions are purely at our
discretion. If you are staying in Page, and wish to avoid
backtracking, and are doing a Wave, White Pocket, or South
Coyote Buttes, or a variant of these tours, we often arrange to
meet people at the intersection of House Rock Valley Rd and Hwy
89. For those staying in Kanab but travelling on to Page or other
AZ destinations that evening, guests sometimes follow in their own
cars from Kanab and park them at an appropriate place to avoid
backtracking. Many people travelling through or who have just
arrived opt to meet us at our location: 4350 E Mountain View Drive

29. Can the longer day tours be shortened? Can tours be
customized?
In some cases, yes, depending on the tour. Certain tours however
cannot be shortened.  For instance, it is not possible to do a
White Pocket Tour in 4 hours due to the remoteness of the area.  
All tours in the Paria/Vermillion Cliffs Area are full days no matter
which way you slice it. Custom tours for full groups (5-7
passengers) are more feasible than highly specialized tours with
only one or two passengers. Custom tours for groups of 4 or less
will also considered private tours and prices will be set at a 5+
passenger minimum depending on the tour.

30. I want to see as much as possible in one day. What do you
suggest?
We have several different tours that allow you to see much of
what their particular area has to offer. These tours are: Ultimate
Kanab Tour, Photographer’s Dream Tour, White Pocket/South
Coyote Buttes Combination Tour * (*South Coyote Buttes permit
required)

31. Do you offer sunrise or sunset tours?
Due to the remoteness of many of our tours, there is no practical
way for us to offer tours with sunrise photo shoots. If you are
interested in a sunrise shoot, we suggest one of our overnight
tours, specially designed for photographers. Sunsets can be
experienced on our Sunset Safari Tour or can sometimes be
accommodated on a case by case basis by request usually during
Winter or at locations near Kanab. Remote sunsets in Summer
require tours not returning until midnight and remote Sunrises
require departures of 3:30am, both of which are impractical.

32. What is the best time of day for photography?
This is a highly complex question that varies by the topographical
nature of a place, time of year, weather, tour practicalities, and
the photographer’s capabilities. While it is impossible to predict
with total precision, a few trends have emerged. Slot Canyons are
best from 9am to 5pm with less optimal high light penetration in
some canyons for an hour around solar noon. Please note that
often times the typical photography dogma of Sunset/Sunrise
does not always apply here.  Examples include dealing with
massive shadows in a 3000 foot gorge (Toroweap) or a
sandstone bowl surrounded by 60 foot buttes (the Wave). In these
cases and many others, photographs during high daylight hours
are the most desirable when the sun evenly lights the area.

33. We want to do one of your overnight tours, but aren’t able to
make any of your scheduled dates. What are our options?
Depending upon our schedule, we may be able to add or shift
dates. Please contact us with which tour you are interested in and
which dates you are considering. Custom multi-days can be
arranged APR-OCT depending on availability.

34. Can it just be my group on the tour?
We reserve the right to fill the truck. There is always a possibility it
will just be your group, but it is not guaranteed. Requests to make
a partially filled tour private are considered on a case by case
basis and are based on buying a flexible number of additional
seats. Additional fees will apply.
Customers booking
standard fares and tours should never
expect that the tour will be private.
We can and
will fill the seats to capacity if possible. The max is 5-8 depending
on the truck and destination.

35. Can you send us a copy of your brochure?
Our brochure is a simple two-sided card that is an abbreviated
listing of our tours with no pictures. It is intended as a teaser for
tourists passing through Kanab. We do not mail them. Our website
is our most complete information source.

36. Do you offer a shuttle service? How do we get to Kanab?
We do not offer a shuttle service to trail heads, or to/from St.
George. As there is no public transportation to Kanab, you must
rent a car to get here.

37. How much time is spent in the car versus time at my
destinations? What is the pace of the tour?
It depends on whether you are on a “sampler tour” or a
“destination” tour. On “sampler” tours like Ultimate Kanab, or
Photographer’s Dream, you immediately start going to each point
of interest, and make many small stops along the way. These are
great for kids’ attention span. “Destination” tours like White
Pocket, Toroweap, or South Coyote Buttes have longer drives to
and from Kanab and most of the time on the ground is spent in
one or two places.  Some tours by necessity of logistics have
stretches on the highway or bumping along miles of dirt roads.  
The drives are always scenic and never urban.

38. What is the best time of the year to see wildflowers?
It is completely dependent on elevation. In Kanab (5200ft) it is
usually the first week of May. In the Mojave Desert (1200ft) it’s the
first week of April, and in Cedar Breaks (10000ft) it is in June/July.
All these dates can vary by several weeks depending on the
preceding winter weather.
