In September, 2014, we signed a
five years contract with the
Government which allows us to
offer birding trips at the old Naval
Station at Roosevelt Roads in
Ceiba.  An educational
component was included as part
of our proposal. To learn more

Proyecto Mucarito, our
environmental education
program for this region.
Long before the Government launched the "ecotourism" concept, we were already involved in the development of new and unique products on the western area.  When we were told in 2014 about the opportunity to
expand our business in Ceiba, the environmental education component on the proposal convinced us to go for it.  Our proposal to the Government consisted in short, medium, and long term goals.  As we wanted to
develop an outreach education program to benefit the community, specially teachers and students, we started with the short term goals (bird counts and bird watching) and designed a bird-related training program for
teachers.  Medium term goals (nature and cultural heritage) were fulfilled during last season and now we are ready to accomplish the long term goals (outdoor adventures) as the new season 2018 -  2019 will start in
September.  We invite you to visit the links on the above menu and book your trip with us.
Towns covered in this program:  Río Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo, Ceiba, Naguabo, Vieques and Culebra.

Due to the number of people visiting El Yunque National Forest during the Holy Week/Weekend (Wednesday through Sunday, including Good Friday and Easter) and the month of July, we DO NOT OFFER
tours to El Yunque other than the Night Hike and/or Ancestral Areyto.  Access to the Forest is limited and we cannot guarantee the quality during those days.
When you book directly with us, 100% of your money is spent locally, not abroad.
