PUERTO RICO BUTTERFLY TOURS
You are right, this the first butterfly
tour series in Puerto Rico.  Join us
during this fun and different nature
tour looking for fragile butterflies in its
natural habitat, but this is not a
birding trip.  What to look for?  We will
visit four towns: Río Grande (El
Yunque), Luquillo, Fajardo, and
Ceiba while looking for endemics
(
Puerto Rican Skipper and Puerto
Rican Ringlet
) and Antillean
specialtes.

Other options available.
Located in the Southwest corner of
Puerto Rico, the salt flats not only are
considered one of the most important
points for migrating shorebirds in the
Eastern Caribbean, but it is also
important in Cabo Rojo´s economic
development, and a prime fish
habitat.  In 1999 the salt flats became
part of the US Fish and Wildlife
Service system.

Legends and tales of pirates, a
combat between two towns in search
of  the control of the salt production,
an old lighthouse built by the
Spaniards, unique fauna and flora,
are only part of what you will learn
during this imaginary journey through
time and space.

to swimming holes that are not
included by other tour companies that
handle cruise ship passengers.

This is an easy going activity where you
set the time you want to be in each one
of the spots that we stop. Two hours at
