In 1846 he was walking the streets
of the Old San Juan while trying to
sell parts of a ship destroyed in
Cuba by the impact of a possible
category five hurricane.

This is the story of a retired captain
who settled in the west region
where he met Felipe.  Join us and
learn who was this captain and
why he is related to Felipe, the
runaway slave.  We will visit Museo
del Mar and will take a boat ride at
the San Juan Bay.

Taíno, Mayombe, Palo Mayombe,
Yoruba, Espiritismo...

As local priests tried to impose a
new religion, the slaves, changed
the names of their ..... and referred
to them using the name of catholic
saints.  But what about the Taínos?

Some people believe that the real
religion of Puerto Rico is espiritsmo
(spiritualism).  At the end of the tour
we will ask you,
What do you think?
